Well, at 5:45 it’s 12.9 degrees F at my house.  As cold as 7F in some parts of the Flagstaff area.  Normal low for this date is 32F.  Weather service is saying it’s 15F.  The record is 9F.  Maybe not a record breaker, but pretty darn cold!!!

Oh, but it could be better…Early Idaho Snow

It’s what we can expect with global warming…early snows, severe early season cold…wait a minute

What about the Precip in September?

Freeze on the Way?

Looks like temps could get a few degrees below normal early this week, before warming up on the other end of the week. The cold air brought in with this storm and the post-storm clearing will cause the lowest temperatures of the season. So, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings could see a frost or freeze.

On a side note, the storm produced a single nice downpour. Just over a tenth of an inch at my place. Overnight we had a brief spat of sleet. Brrrr. Maybe the Peaks will be white-capped.

Sure enough…looks like the freezes could start tonight…Sunday night.
