Shift to Wet Weather

Seems like everything is aligning to a shift back to wet weather, cold wet weather.

The skies should cloud up on Thursday. The serious snow should start to fall Friday night and go through sometime on Saturday.  There may be some snow and rain around the fringes of this time frame. At this time, I am betting this first storm brings 6-10 inches, but this could be on the low side. Temperatures will probably be shifting to below normal. Stay tuned.

The big question is whether this marks a return to regular wet weather. Long range forecast have more storm in the 10-15 day time period.

I am trying to get the shark oil barometer on a webcam so folks can watch. Hopefully, this week.

Monday Afternoon Changes

Everyone pretty much flip-flopped on Monday afternoon.  Looks like a cut-off low will be in the area during the weekend timeframe.  These are notoriously difficult to predict.  So, it may be the weekend before we know what the storm will really bring.  The NOGAPS model had been showing roughly similar precip amounts to the last storm.

Stay tuned!
