Well, scattered thunderstorms are blanketing the state today. Dewpoints still haven’t crossed the magic 54F threshold on a daily average in Flagstaff, Tucson or Phoenix. The dewpoints are on the upswing.

Month to date we have only had two days with temperatures above 80 degrees. Today just touched 80 degrees. I think if we continue to be on the cool side, it makes sense that the thunderstorms will start with the lower dewpoints.

I think we are looking at scattered to isolated thunderstorms for the next week, at least.
