For the next few days, we have rising chances for rain and lowering temperatures. The 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks call for continued pumping of monsoonal moisture into the area. I would post an outlook image, but the most recent one looks remarkable similar to the one a couple posts down. The current pattern continues.

The current mode of moisture supply is tropical systems from the eastern Pacific Ocean. These systems continue to march up the west coast of Mexico and dump their water in Arizona. This pattern has been in effect for a couple of weeks now. These systems don’t always become tropical storms or hurricanes.

A couple other notes, fall is in the air. Next weeks temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler than last week. Also, for September 9-11, heavy rain chances are elevated.
