For the rest of this week, and out to 10 days, it looks like we are in for a cooler, wetter time. Here is the 6-10 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center.

This morning, the dewpoint temperature at the Flagstaff  Airport is very high at 53 degrees. To the south, dewpoint temperatures are even higher.

There is plenty of moisture in the air. The most recent skew-T plot from Flagstaff does not show a profile that would support storm development. Tucson and Yuma skew-T plots do show strong potential for storm development. This can change through the day as more moisture moves to the north. If the morning clouds clear out, thunderstorms should have a good chance later in the day.
