If you’ve lived in Flagstaff long enough, you know that it seems like it rains or snows on Memorial Day weekend. Apparently, the Weather Service is trying to stay true to this phenomenon. Yesterday they added a 10% chance of rain.

Still, I think we will have wind, only wind and nothing but wind. Sunday night and Monday night could see temperatures dipping down below freezing. I don’t think it will get that cold, but it’s better if you are prepared.

TA asked a great question. “How many more weeks in a row can we expect NOAA to say:

UNSEASONABLY STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE WEST COAST AND MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST?"

While I’m not certain, I think this should end around mid-June as the monsoonal flow should set up. Hopefully, that will become the dominatant mechanism. The longer it continues, the longer it will delay the monsoon season.
