Memorial Day weekend is just around the corner. While precipitation has disappeared from the models, a cooling trend for the West is still showing up. The question is, when will it hit?

For most of last week, it looked like it would hit Friday night. Today, it looks like it will arrive on Sunday. When it does hit, we will probably have a bout of wind to bring the cooler temps. Here is the departure from normal temperatures in the forecast for Sunday, May 29, in the middle of the day. Notice the large band of purple moving in from the Pacific Northwest. That area is roughly 8-12 degrees below normal. The question is, when?
