This has been a fairly wet October so far. The National Weather Service has reported 2.05 inches of rain for the month. Now, it looks like more could be on the way. A pattern of wetter weather started to show up for early next week in the models over the weekend. Late last week I found a new Ensemble model at the US Navy’s web site. I have imported the images to my website: US Navy Ensemble Model. Here is one run. Gotta love the dynamic colors.

Currently, it shows only minor precipitation. THe GFS and NOGAPS models are still shifting slightly as the time frame comes closer. This is similar to how the last storm looked, except the threat of southwesterly winds doesn’t seem as great this time. The dewpoint has stayed relatively high, in the lower to mid-30’s. This could bode well for precipitation amounts if a storm makes it this way. Stay tuned, but next week could be wet, starting this weekend.
